IPL 2025: Bengaluru Showdown Between RCB and SRH Moved to Lucknow Amid Rain Concerns

The Indian Premier League has moved the match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Sunrisers Hyderabad to Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium on May 23.

In light of adverse weather conditions in South India, especially the ongoing heavy rains in Bengaluru, the venue for Friday’s RCB vs SRH venue move.

Rains have lashed the city for weeks. RCB's home match against the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders on May 17 , was cancelled without a single ball being thrown because of heavy rain.

Bengaluru has not been able to train as much due to the rains and storms that have hit the city in the past few days.

Bengaluru will now play its final two league games at Ekana Stadium, where they will face the Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday May 27.

SRH, which played LSG yesterday at Ekana Stadium, has been advised to remain RCB vs SRH in Lucknow.

IPL officials decided to move the event after receiving a yellow warning for heavy rainfall in Bengaluru through May 22 from the local weather office.

According to reports, RCB was informed about the new venue on Tuesday afternoon.

The team prepared for a Friday match training session - the first since their pre-match session on Thursday, which was held in anticipation of the rained out game against KKR.
